Microstate Andorra is a little landlocked realm in the eastern Pyrenees trapped by Spain and France. It is understood for tourism and its standing as a tax shelter. It has a small area of 468 sq km and a population of over 80 thousand ( with over 11,000,000 visitors a year ). High on the Pyrenees Andorra is usually composed from rough mountains, cut by 3 narrow valleys that whisk into the Valira Stream, which flows into Spain. Summers are warm in the lovely valleys, and are well-liked for those that enjoy walking - nonetheless it is cooler and dryer in the mountains with masses of snow in the winters ( some tops stay with snow caps all year ) and there are a substantial number of well-liked skiing resorts. The primary ski resorts are Pops de la Casa, Soldeu and Arinsal and are well thought to be completely fantastic for amateurs and early intermediates. The ski universities have fabulous reputes, the snow is trusty and though the ski areas aren't especially giant the resorts are quite close together, and you can move about. In fact Fathers de la Casa and Soldeu, the most significant
Andorra Hotel resorts are linked with lifts ( and the lift systems are good ). To be honest, Andorra's reputation is typically for its nightlife ( read loud and animated ) naturally, as alcohol and cigarettes ( with the rest ) is tax free you might expect it, and for noobs wanting to party with mates and have good schooling to be told how to ski ( and probabilities to pick up loads of good duty-free products in close by capital La Valla seven km away ) Arinsal's a good choice. However Arinsal is trying strenuously to be flavorful and amicable to families - and there are good childcare facilities as well as good provision for newbs, that it may be a good selection for all members of the family to have good skiing as well as an evening social life. Fathers de la Casa perched on the French border is also animated and full of French and English party folk Ma and Pop may not fancy this a lot, and those among us ( like me ) who can't stay up the great majority of the night and still ski in the morning may not have the endurance, but of course, those in the still young tourism bracket may want to give it their best shot!
